The power is in the script! I witnessed the soulwinner Spirit came upon one woman I prayed with. She couldn’t get her eyes off of the script card. After a tearful salvation, she asked if she could have the script card I used, even though she had already, the small version (in the dvd). As she did that her friend whom had been in the store, entered her vehicle on the passenger side. I told her she could have my script card if she would use it to save her friend. Bam! Instant soulwinner! She did it. The power is in the script. He is the Holy Spirit! And He is in those pre-ordained words. I was in a nursing home and walked into a room by myself with 1 woman in it, and she basically told me she needed to use the restroom, so I went and told someone that worked there about it (now there was two more people in that room)and I told I guess all 3 of them what they had to do so that woman could use the restroom(I yielded to fear and left after talking to them a bit) and later my team leader led both of them to the Lord in a different room while I was with him, then later I came back to that room alone and both people were there again, so I started talking with them, and the man told me the woman can’t respond like them, but I started to talk to her and she talked and got saved and they seemed to have no problem at all me praying with her and when I looked up the man had his head bowed, like he might have been praying it again. (And I didn’t stay in enough time for them to talk to me about her talking)

We were here Tue. night at the svc, we got the script and had read and studied it but wanted the training on Thurs. morning so we were picking up cans for Gas money. A woman at the recycle place had a leg infirmity. I was so fired up w/ anticipation I aproached her w/no training just to pray for her leg. Afterwards I asked her about her salvation, she said she had hope, I said you can be sure- she accepted Jesus in the can, recycle line. One lady in the nursing home, who was very alert, responded to the whole gospel script with eargerness. No on ehave ever told her God loved her and had a plan for her life. When I got to the end where she repeated:”I’m forgiven and I’m on my way to Heaven bc I have Jesus in my heart”. She broke down and cried and I knew God had done a work in her heart. She thanked me three times before I left. Praise God!

Several people at one of the rest homes told me they were Buddhist, but I continued with the script and they received Christ as their Savior. One lady named Tina was glowing. Also I prayed the prayer of salvation with a nurse. I went into one room in a NH and there was a lady laying in the bed. I tried to go through the gospel script with her but she didn’t speak English or Spanish. I was about ready to leave the room because I couldn’t communicate with her when 3 ladies entered the room to visit her. I asked them if they spoke English and they did so I went through the gospel script with them and all three ladies prayed the prayer of salvation. Then 1 of the ladies translated the gospel script for me into Bulgarian and the lady in the bed prayed the prayer of salvation in Bulgarian. A guy in front of NH was deaf and mute. He read the script himself and nodded. Repeated prayer in sign language. On a bus Rev Jake and I read aloud the script and six people received the Lord.

First 300 Words

January 26th, 2010

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

The foundational scripture for this class to me was Proverbs 4:20-21. In the first part of this scripture, we are directed to give attention to the Word of God. Without giving attention to the life giving Word, we will not know God, His will, or His ways. We are taught to study the Word to show ourselves approved unto God (2 Tim.2:15). As ministers of the Good News, it is our responsibility to know our heavenly Father through His Word in order to clearly relay His love, goodness, mercy, and grace to mankind.

As we move through Proverbs 4:20, we also read that we are to incline or listen to the Word of God. In Romans 10:17, we read that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We must speak the Word of God to ourselves and listen to the preaching and teaching of it with an open, receptive heart in order to have it rooted firmly in our heart. This ultimately births the abundant life that Jesus spoke of in John10:10.
In the first part of verse 21, we are told to keep the Word of God before our eyes. This is teaching us to stay focused on what God has told us which is for our protection and good. In Jeremiah 29:11, we read that God has plans to prosper us. If we keep the Word of God before us and are obedient to it, God will prosper us as He has promised.

Keeping God’s Word in our heart (v.21b), helps us walk in God’s love every day. The true hallmark of a spiritually mature person is walking in love, first and foremost toward God and then toward man. If the Word of God reigns supreme in our heart, then we will be easily led by the Holy Spirit to do the Father’s will. Thanks to Rodney Howard Browne.

JP and I went to Skiel Row in downtown LA and we caught the high school getting out of session and one after another gave their lives to Jesus. Over 25 between us got saved out of the high school.
First of all I have done street ministry but in this case I hadn’t gone to a rest home. My sister in Christ go but I haven’t gone to the local rest home because 4 years ago my mother went home to the Lord at the rest home. Today when I went it was a breakthrough and the Lord gave me boldness. The first lady I went to and started talking to was older and couldn’t understand much. But when you mention Jesus, she would say that’s why I’m still here because He loves me. She said the prayer and I went on. I went to other room, 3 more accepted the Lord. A lot of them where in the hallways so I started talking to them. 1 man couldn’t see. When I told him Jesus loved him and he said I know many people told me that and pray. So I continue, then tears went down his eyes. At first he won’t say the salvation prayer, then he did. I then went out and said okay, I haven’t meet my goal Lord. I passed a room with many that just finished exercise. I spoke to the instructor. I then went up to one lady and she received the Lord.

I was raised in the Morman Church, but when I was 15 years old I realized this religion couldn’t give me what I was searching for in my heart. I did not go to any church until May of 2007. I am now 53 years old, have met Jesus and I have surrendered my life to serve him. I am on a path of education and healing of my soul. I was first touched through Dr. Rodney’s ministry in January of 2008, I don’t remember what tour it was but I felt an immediate connection with his ministry. Currently, I have been watching the Summer-camp meeting on GOD TV and every time I watch the connection to Jesus gets stronger. I called the phone number on the screen and talked to Steve, he prayed with me and my fiance. I believe that Jesus is preparing me to be part of his army for the saving of souls. Today I felt the spirit come over me and I wept uncontrolably and felt Jesus was cleansing my heart, thank you Jesus! Praise Jesus! I am praying that I will be able to attend the meeting in Pheonix, AZ in October. I am also praying if it is GOD’s will that I attend the River Bible Institute very soon. Thank you, and God bless you all!

My sister, Aron began losing her balance in November of 2007. Then she started getting double vision. She started going to more and more doctors. -She would come in from work and go straight to bed. She was extremely tired all the time. Once she fell asleep while driving to work and had an accident. Her doctor told her to take a month off work for extensive testing. She had cat scans, MRI’s and blood work. The blood work showed a high white blood count. Her short term memory was affected and once she forgot she was talking to me on the phone. She started going downhill fast. She lost control of her bladder and bowels before going into the hospital June 18. The doctors could not find any reason for her symptoms from the tests. I began e-mailing prayer requests the first of June to family, friends and to The River. She began to get better. After 13 days in Univ. Comm. Hospital, she was sent to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. On June 12, I laid hands on her and prayed. I continued doing this every time I saw her until July 6. Shands was going to do a brain biopsy on July 9, but decided not to. She came home on July 9. They never found any reason for her symptoms. She was just getting better. Her sight is better, her memory is much better and she has control of her body functions again. She has an appointment with a Neurologist July 25, to see how she is doing after going home. I have trusted God through this whole ordeal and have never been afraid. My faith was strong. I knew that God was the healer and I just praised Him every day for her return to good health. I felt comforted knowing that so many people were joining me in praying. I am expecting a good report from the Neurologist later this month. Thank you for praying for my sister.

Recent Student Testimonies

December 23rd, 2009

rodney howard browne

The River church held Operation Raven for the Spanish community on December 13th.  This event was full of happy faces of young and old.  People came flooding in as early as 7:30am to stand in line.  The River members prepared earnestly expecting for great things to happen.  People went out on the street spreading the word.  Flyers were made and hand delivered into the homes and lives of many un-churched people.  You could see the look of excitement on the children’s faces as they were told about the event.  Parents “just couldn’t say no.”   I arrived at the church at 7:30am and helped out with the nursery.  There were children being dropped off as soon as I arrived, so that their parents could enjoy the service, without worrying about the safety or distractions of their children during the service.  Most of the children did not really understand what was happening.  A lot of them cried when they were left from their parents, since they were in a strange atmosphere with strange people, but the nursery workers were quick to comfort them and share the joy of Christmas, which is Jesus.  Most of the children warmed up and had a blast playing.  When it was time for the children to go home, they left with a peace and the love that comes from a touch from God.  After the service, as I went to pick up my children, I saw most of the children in the lines picking out their gifts, and they were very excited about their free gift.  Also the parents were very happy about their free gift that they received, which came in the sacrifice of others, in selfless love.  This experience has been one that I will never forget.  Although it was a lot of work, it was well worth the effort, to see the way it touched the lives and families of others.

Great Awakening Tour City #9 Dix Hills, New York

December 11th, 2009

I’m 24 years old and I attend a church with a pretty big youth ministry. I started watching the Chronicles of Revival tv show on Angel 2 a few weeks before. When I heard Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne preach and saw the freedom he had in the Holy Spirit i was refreshed and encouraged to keep being radically in love with the Holy Spirit. Many things he spoke about was things that the Holy Spirit had revealed to me but I had never heard them from a preacher before… I sometimes thought that i was crazy… I went to the revival meetings in Dix Hills and brought a few of the youth from my church to come along. God touched me and all the ones that went with me EVERY night! We spent over 200 dollars getting to the event but it was worth it and God surely honored it. We all came back on fire to win the state of New Jersey and let the fire of revival rage through our church… Thank you for letting the Holy Spirit have His way in your lives so that He might touch the world. God Bless your ministry and your families.

Dear Dr.’s Rodney & Adonica Howard-Browne, We are the Davis family (from Illinois), you prayed for our family in the Sunday Morning service (July 1, 2007). While on vacation in Florida, our initial plans were to go to the theme parks and attend your Sunday Morning service. However, we were so touched and blessed by your service, we ended up coming out every night from Orlando where we were staying. Our children wanted to be in your service on the 4th even though we had plans to attend a celebration in Orlando with them. Even though I (Joel) grew up in the church, I never experienced such wonderful teaching on the fire. As you were speaking about the fire, the Lord showed me you were like a spiritual arsonist. My family has been so touched by this, even though were back home now, we have not missed one of your webcast. Even though I’m not a Pastor yet, we’ve been in the ministry for about 14yrs under other Pastors, but I most definitely want to link up with your ministry to help start some fires. I have one question to ask you. I noticed that many in the meeting were laughing up under the anointing, but I always cry up under the anointing and sometimes for hours. However, the cry is not of sadness or as if I did something wrong, I feel joy, do you know why this is so? Do you have any reading materials that could help explain this? We love you, Adonica & your family and the entire RMI family and we will continue to pray God blessing upon you. PS. We will plan our next vacation in Tampa. PSS. I was going to wait until after camp meeting to send this, but the Lord led me to send it now. Your brother in Christ, Eld. Joel Davis

Unproductive Withdrawal by Rodney Howard Browne

December 4th, 2009

A Good Concern by Rodney Howard Browne

I am convinced it was there, in that barren place of obscurity, that Paul developed his religion. Noiselessly and alone, he plumbed the unfathomable conundrums of sovereignty, election, decadency, the deity of Christ, the supernatural power of the Resurrection, the Church, and future things.

It turned into a three-year crash course in sound doctrine from which would flow a life of evangelizing, teaching, and writing. More than this, it’s where Paul tossed aside his polished trophies and traded his resum of religious certifications for a colourful relationship with the risen Christ. It was there, without doubt, he concluded “whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than this, I count all things to be loss in view of the exceeding cost of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so I may gain Christ” ( Philippians 3:7–8 ). The same words describe many Christians sitting in churches today.

We are not busy doing all of the wrong things or maybe some ghastly things.

But if the truth were known, we’ll go for miles on smoke, all of the while choking the life-giving spirit inside.

It was one of those films with few words but a giant quantity of emotion.

How he escapes is interesting, but the good news is he’s picked up by a ship and is, at last, returned safely to the now-unfamiliar sector of life as it used to be. And the change inside him led straight to a change in the lives of thousands of people down thru the ages.
